Polycarbonate (PC) is a transparent and hard thermoplastic and is a long-lasting cover widely used in greenhouses. It can be produced in various thicknesses consisting of two layers and gaps in between, is flexible, has high resistance to burning and impact. Polycarbonate sheets are plastic sheets that can be shaped for thermoforming and cold bending, maintain their durability at very low and very high temperatures, have protection against the ultraviolet effect of the sun, are not affected by external environmental conditions, are fifty percent lighter than glass and have three hundred times higher impact resistance. The Climax Series we use consists of 7-walled sheets with a thickness of 16-20 mm and 9-walled sheets with a thickness of 25-32 mm. These energy-efficient sheets have a heat transfer coefficient of 1.25 W/m2K, compared to classic 2-walled sheets.
