Target: This project encompasses a soilless strawberry greenhouse project on a 25,000 m² area in the Ferizli district of Sakarya. The aim is to increase strawberry production using modern agricultural techniques and promote sustainable farming practices suitable for Sakarya's climate conditions.
Vision: The Soilless Strawberry Greenhouse Project in Sakarya/Ferizli aims to increase strawberry production considering the region's climate and geographical characteristics, offering healthy and high-quality products to local consumers. It also aims to provide farmers with education on modern agricultural techniques and contribute to the local economy.
Sakarya Climate and Characteristics of Strawberries:
- Climate: Sakarya is under the influence of the Black Sea climate, generally exhibiting temperate climate characteristics. Summers are warm and humid, winters are mild. This provides a suitable environment for growing strawberries.
- Growing Conditions for Strawberries: Strawberries thrive in temperate climate conditions and prefer sunny days. Soilless farming has increased the direct access of strawberries to nutrients, thus enhancing quality.
